Hi

If you play on an official plug and play (the NES/SNES classic series, the console line from AT games...) is it ok to post your record on VGR?

If it's the official release, from nintendo, with the official controller and game, why not?
But I already know that the nes mini has been hacked & cracked, so be careful with it. (such as emulators on PC)

Nevertheless, to my eyes, it is ok to add it.

I see them as a console alone
Console name: Nes Classic or Snes Classic
And the list of games only for this console

I know that sega made this kind of console also

I bought a Megadrive/Genesis Classic, and I already played some games.
I don't see differences between the games I have into it, compared to my older games in the original console.
I mean, in the gameplay, speed or options: everything is the same.
The bad differences are in the cable links: the music is mono and not stereo, and the graphisms are maybe a little less detailed than with a Péritel/Scart connector.
Also, the pads use the infra-red light technology, which can be a good point if you play far from your TV, but a bad point because it forces you to always play with the pad in front of the system (tiring, and sometimes disturbing).
No problem with this, because you can always plug your old pads (if you kept them  ).
Finally, the good things are the games inside it, including some I never played, and I liked this.

So in my opinion, you can group this games with the original ones.
Nevertheless, I suggest you  to create a new specific button for this system (MEGD-C), because there is also some (really useless       ) bonuses games, with unknown link with the original system, but with some records inside them.
I can list them soon if you want.
For the Nintendo Mini, if you think there is a possibility to crack them, don't group the games with the original ones.

Also, I saw that there is already a new version (n°2) of the Genesis Classic which will be released in September, with original design, HD 720p and (more important) some different games...
Another example is with Atari  Flashback: there is already 8 different packs, with different games...
That's why I suggest to create new buttons for Classic/Mini systems, without the number of the pack.
So, just add them to the original games, if you see no main differences between them.

You can only add (and delete?) games if you crack the NES mini.

And yeah I agree, we should add them with the existing games like how we add the virtual console games with the original games.
Adding a new button for these consoles is not a bad idea either.

OK, so now, please add a new button (MEGD-C or MD-CLASSIC ?) for these existing games in VGR:

Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle
Alien Storm
Altered Beast
Arrow Flash
Bonanza Bros.
Chakan : The Forever Man
Columns
Comix Zone
Crack down
Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine
ESWAT : City Under Siege
Eternal Champions
Flicky
Gain Ground
Golden Axe
Golden Axe II
Golden Axe III
Jewel Master
Kid Chameleon
Mortal Kombat
Ristar
Shadow Dancer : The Secret of Shinobi
Shinobi III : Return of The Ninja Master
Sonic & Knuckles
Sonic Spinball
Sonic The Hedgehog
Sonic The Hedgehog 2
Sonc 3D Blast (Flickie’s Island)
Vectorman
Vectorman 2

There is also 9 official games included in this system (Columns 3, Decap Attack, Fatal Labyrinth, Mortal Kombat 2, Mortal Kombat 3, Phantasy Star 2, Phantasy Star 3), but without records for VGR.
And also around 40 bonus games, not all with records: like I told you, they are not from Genesis so I consider them as useless and I will not add them to this list.

Even if you don't crack them: the System have an save function like savestates on an Emulator, so i think the NES Mini AND the SNES Mini should not allowed to use on VGR

The SNES Mini is even more "cheat-like" because it have an rewind function (like TAS), so if you make a misstake you can rewind some sec. and Play it again until you have a "no hit run" or something else.

So even if it's offical, Nintendo gave the System a cheat function, so it's not a Score/Time Console.
